Welcome to the 27th Annual Sisters' Journey Breast Cancer Survivors Calendar!
We are so grateful to share this moment with you as we celebrate the incredible strength, resilience, and courage of survivors in our community.
This calendar is not simply a collection of days–it is a collection of stories. Each survivor featured here has faced breast cancer with determination and hope, and their journeys remind us o f the power of faith, family, and community. Their courage lights the way for others who may be walking a similar path, and their voices remind us that no one has to face this fight alone.
The stories shared here serve two powerful purposes. They are testimonies of hope, showing survivors and their families that there is life, strength and joy beyond a diagnosis. At the same time, they stand as living proof o f what early detection can do when women take advantage of screenings. Together, they show us not only what survival looks like, but how it can be achieved.
Here in Connecticut, we are proud that our state ranks among the highest in the nation for breast cancer detection and among the lowest for mortality rates. This means that more lives are being saved through early detection. At Sisters' Journey, we believe we have been part of this progress–by educating, empowering, and encouraging women to be proactive about their health and to act quickly when it comes to screenings and care. Together, we continue to help ensure that more women not only survive breast cancer but thrive after it.
This year is especially meaningful for me personally. As I step into my one-year anniversary o f survivorship, I am honored to lead this organization with even greater passion, commitment, and dedication than ever before. I am not only advocating for and supporting survivors–I am fighting right alongside them. My journey has deepened my belief in the mission of Sisters' Journey and my determination to make sure no woman ever feels alone in hers.
