Mary Barrett

My name is Mary Barrett and I am a cancer survivor.

The year 2003 was a mixed blessing. First, my daughter died of cancer in February of the year 2003, and I found out that I had breast cancer when I went for my yearly checkup in July of 2003.

Of course I was stunned. However, the cancer was very small, so I had the operation right away. God is good all the time. I count it a blessing that I was able to be with my daughter during her time of need and I thank God that I’m alive and I’m doing the best I can every day to take care of my health.
